Teacher at McGavock High School in Nashville loses control when provoked by punks. (Probably for the eleventyfifth time.)
Eleventyfifth. def – some unknown or unknowable extremely high number.
I remember my absolute favorite public school teacher. He taught eighth grade at Linden Elementary (in Tennessee), was also the Principal, as well as a Deacon in my church, and farmed (RIP Mr. Luke Webb). No one wanted to be introduced to the paddle he kept in the Principal’s office. My high school was private and the contract was not linked to your continued presence. If you were expelled (in my day the primary reason was alcohol on campus, we were pretty well behaved) your parents were still obligated for the entire year’s tuition.
In pack animals (and humans most certainly are) threats must be real and backed by the threatened, judicious use of controlled violence “pour l’encouragement des autres.” Ask any Drill Sergeant or gang leader.
