This is the sort of idiocy that has given us the new aristocracy of capitol hill “royalty”.

The powers of this self-expanded royalty have their powers limited by the constitution, the result is we no longer teach the constitution to school children. No such things as civics and history only the amaphorous “Social Studies”. The Post Office is specifically authorized by the constitution but has been privatized because of “public sector” unionism, something that even the consummate socialist (he used to call mass-murderer Stalin “Uncle Joe”) FDR thought was an extremely bad idea, however however he didn’t forsee them becoming such an important funding mechanism for his party.

The full statement is as follows:

The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy. Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America. I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher. But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken. I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son. And as we do, we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities. We should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis. We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, that’s a job for all of us. That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin.

Since the jury decided that the tragedy was a result of justifiable self defense, the “future tragedies” will not be the attacker but the attacked. Does that sound better to anyone other than attackers, muggers, rapists, thieves and/or wannabe tyrannical government?

Yeah I know adding government was redundant to the prior description of what government has become, but, I’m going to leave it there.

Also just for fun let me add these from the goals of the American Communist Party as reported in the Congressional Record in 1963:

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

SLA and FDM. Does not fail from firing stresses. 600+ rounds (.223 aka 5.56 mm). Since DHS is getting bids for 7000 M-16s (the full auto version of the AR) and over a billion rounds of ammo, using the same will make supplying the resistance much easier.

The sad history of state-sponsored ethnic cleansing in North America begins with the story of the British expulsion of the Acadians in 1755. Professor Amy Sturgis explains that the Acadians were peaceful French colonists who had prospered in Nova Scotia. The British forcibly removed the Acadians from their homes and scattered them across North America. The expulsion effectively ended the Acadian way of life forever. How might U.S. history have been different if this first ethnic cleansing had never occurred? How might America be different today if the Acadians’ property and rights had been respected? Might the Acadian way of life have influenced the United States for the better?

President Obama has declared war on the Supreme Court in advance of the Court’s ObamaCare decision. Declaring the Justices of the Court “unelected,” Obama seems eager to create a constitutional crisis. Why is Obama insulting the integrity of the judiciary and not making the constitutional argument for his health care legislation? Find out.

A Supreme Court ruling upholding the individual mandate “will really be, if not a death blow, then certainly a very severe blow to the whole idea that the federal government’s powers are limited and that it’s not the case that the federal government can do pretty much whatever it wants,” says George Mason University law professor Ilya Somin, author of an amicus brief in U.S Department of Health and Human Services v. Florida, a challenge to the Affordable Care Act that the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear later this month.

Reason.tv sat down with Somin to discuss why his brief focuses on the individual mandate, what the chances of success are, and whether or not a mandate to buy insurance could empower Congress to pass a mandate that all Americans buy a health food like broccoli.

“There’s a lot of industries that have a lot of lobbying power and interest group clout that could promote mandates for themselves,” says Somin.
