By using billions of dollars in federal funding to strong arm states to adopt national standards of dubious quality, the Obama administration has raised federal intrusion into education to new heights, transferring control over the nation’s classrooms to anonymous federal bureaucrats, special interest lobbies, and insider experts, ultimately rendering parents and taxpayers powerless.

(Did you know Bolshevik means “Majority”, which they weren’t? Seems that the Occupy Movement, who aren’t the 99% are taking a page from Lenin’s playbook, nyet?)

The three classes obviously desired
1. Those who rule government
2. Those who work for government
3. Peasants that live off the “benevolence” of government

Douglas Rasmussen is a professor of philosophy at St. John’s University. Basically, each individual and each individual alone has the particularized local knowledge to make the determinations about which proportions of competing value classes will lead to fulfillment in their lives; thus there is no ‘one size fits all’ standard of happiness that can be provided by prescriptive institutions.
