thecrowd          propaganda

in order to understand the language used by those that aspire to rule over you. In 1895 Gustav Le Bon wrote “The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind” and in 1928 Edward Bernays (Sigmund Freud’s “Nephew from Hell”) wrote “Propaganda” (a book highly praised by Heinrich Himmler in the course of his political career).

Since their publication these two books have been he blueprint for politicians of all stripes to trip your triggers for improbable, impossible, illogical statements, sloganeering and chants with no meaningful definitions and stupid buttons and bumper stickers.

Do you wan to really understand these parasites that feed on the taxpayer? Or are you too lazy, uncaring, or too blasé to give a rat’s rump?

The Devil is in the details. In general I could agree with Ogabe’s plan tonight, BUT the criminal background check he mentioned obviously must have holes you could take a herd of elephants through. DWIs are somewhat common and many negligent homicides are concurrent, tax evasion is a felony and again common border jumping or visa overstaying is also criminal illegalities. So how is that going to be handled? Will we go back to requiring TOEFL? What about welfare and tax fraud? If we require payment of back taxes will they even come forward? In general I would be able to support five year residents a path to citizenship, if they have clean criminal records (no arrests other than citizenship ones or very minor civil infractions, welfare or voter fraud & DWI are dealbreakers), agree to a full tax audit and set up a payment plan just as citizens do and pass TOEFL (hell, I’ll even teach a few courses) within six months,

The problem is are we going to punish those who are waiting for a legal chance, while ignoring the criminal actions of those that didn’t even apply to come legally? What about the Hb1 visas for skilled immigrants? I find it hilarious that we have to look for computer science majors overseas because our miseducation system cannot produce enough because our elementary and secondary education systems have been taken over by members of the National Socialist American Unionist Party who discourage excellence because they don’t understand or recognize behavior that doesn’t replicate their myrmidon tendencies.

Another lie is the bailout of the insurance companies. The way it is being played is for the populace to be against it so that the dhimmicretina can say “the people don’t want it”. Then they can refuse to honor their commitment and bankrupt the insurance companies so there will be no alternatives to government run plans. Of course the death of the insurance companies will hurt a lot of 401(k) plans and move employees to be government union members.

The same people said you can keep your plan are saying they’ll fix Obamacare. They won’t.

We all know why the Watermelons (Green outside, red inside) want America to fail. A failed state is ripe for totalitarian takeover. Just ask the Germans, the Russians, the Chinese, the Cubans, the Venezuelans, the Vietnamese, the Rhodesians (if you can find any), soon the Argentinians. and on and on and on.

And to remind you of how long the Watermelon totalitarians and their media accomplices have been working on this:

Authorities destroy cameras to prevent account of raid…

When critics warn about the dangers of police militarization, this is what we\’re talking about. You’ll see the raid team, dressed in battle-dress uniforms, helmets and face-covering balaclava hoods take down the family’s door with a battering ram. You’ll see them storm the home with ballistics shields, guns at the ready. More troubling still, you’ll see not one but two officers attempt to prevent the family from having an independent record of the raid, one by destroying a surveillance camera, another by blocking another camera’s lens.

RAID FILMED: Ankeny Police ‘Traumatize’ Family in IowaANKENY,

IOWA WHOTV: New information regarding the story reported Monday night regarding a search warrant that was executed at a Des Moines home, looking for about $1000 worth of items purchased with a stolen credit card. Ankeny police spokeswoman Captain Makai Echer says officers consider several factors when deciding whether to send officers similar to a SWAT team to a house to serve a warrant, or simply knock on the door.In this case, Echer says, officers looked at suspect’s criminal histories and whether there could be firearms in the home. Of the three suspects that were present in the home, one has a violent arrest record for two assaults about 13-years ago and a domestic assault.Another suspect did have a permit to carry a weapon. Echer would not comment on whether that played a role in the decision. She would also not comment on whether it was appropriate for a police officer to rip a security camera from the front of the house after officers had already entered.

Have you ever wondered about the purposes behind the degradation of the American education system? Here is one.

Every New Year brings a bevy of stupid new nanny state bans.

In Los Angeles supermarket chains can no longer give out free plastic grocery bags made of plastic. From now on, either bring your own or shell out 10 cents per sack.

Illinois — a state so well-run that is faces billions of dollars in unfunded pension obligations – now bans anyone under the age of 18 from going to a tanning salon. Residents also face a $50 fine for flicking a cigarette butt in the street or on the sidewalk too.

Delaware has banned the sale, possession, or eating of shark fins. New York City has banned horse-drawn carriage rides, and Major Leauge Baseball has banned home plate collisions.

The list is long and grim and seemingly endless but the worst nanny state ban going into effect in 2014 is almost surely the federal prohibition on the production of new incandescent light bulbs.

This ban was seven years in the making. The 2007 Energy Bill — enthusiastically signed by then President George W Bush — effectively killed incandescents light bulbs via energy efficiency mandates. 100 and 75 watt bulbs were phased out in previous years and now cheap 60 and 40 light bulbs — once the very symbol of a good idea — verboten in the Land of the Free.

Before the incandescent bulbs go out for good, it\’s worth shining a light on its cause: The ban was pushed by light bulb makers eager to up-sell customers on longer-lasting and much more expensive halogen, compact fluourescent, and LED lighting. When customers balked at paying more for home lighting, General Electric, Sylvania, and Philips did what corporate behemoths always do: They turned to the government for regulation that rigs the market in their favor.

So when you throw out that last 40 cent 40 Watt light bulb, remember that you\’re not just tossing out a piece of history, but a piece of what used to be a freer market.
